1973 Clive Stuart Road Racer
1973 Clive Stuart Road Race Bicycle
This is a great machine with an excellent ride. A pure road racer from the early 1970's, from the English bike shop Clive Stuart. The frame was beautifully constructed, with great attention to the details. The lugs are well refined, and the brazing is impeccable. Possibly built by Bill Gray for Clive Stuart, it appears to be very similar to a Holdsworth Professional from the same era, but it is significantly lighter, being made from Reynolds 531 Special Lightweight tubing. Original 120mm rear spacing, with a 5 speed 13-28 freewheel, which is great on climbs. Built with Campagnolo Record and Super Record components. A very fine ride.
